World Beyond Borders

Gotta love Native Foods. I just had lunch after a little work out and met Jane--the women who started this great organization: World Beyond Borders. Cool stuff.

Check it out, yo.

I've never been to the restaurant, but given how good the recipes in the Native Foods Restaurant Cookbook by Tanya Petrovna look, I can imagine it would be excellent. I've taken it out of the library a couple of times - eventually I'll get my own copy.

There is even a connection to KW - the book is published by Shambhala, Wilber's publisher. Tanya even names a recipe - Sam's Vegan Cheesecake - after Sam Bercholtz, friend of KW and member of the II board. :)

I'll have to try that as soon as I'm done my cleanse!

That's AWESOME!

I'll take you out when you get to LA! :)

What type of cleanse you on?

I'm doing the Master Cleanse - easy, cheap & safe. After having friends do it over the years and reading up on it, I first gave it a go in late August for 7 days. I'm not sure how much of a 'cleanse' it gave me - I'm usually the skeptic on such things - but I felt awesome at the end, plus, most importantly, it was a release from craving and habits. Aside from some light-headedness and headaches the first day or two, it was not difficult at all, with little hunger. My gf thought I looked better too, which of course makes sense when you feel good it shows...

This time I doing it for at least 10 days. Right now, I'm on day 4 and I feel great - no headaches/light-headedness this time either. After it's done, I'm going to actually use the Body For Life book my bro bought me, and get back to the gym. It's been a couple years and it shows!

The best part is I'm freezing a bit of everything interesting my gf makes for when I am done. Yum!

I hope one day to take you up on your offer :)

Yepperz. I love the Master Cleanse. Done it a couple times. Although I tend to get all Gandhi skinny. :)

Very cool re: getting back to the gym. Body for Life has jump-started my return a couple times!

And, we'll definitely need to make the din-din happen.
